Individuals can receive the identical training that is delivered to the largest of corporate accounts. Due to liability issues, many companies are not fond of ‘outsiders’ operating their lift trucks, on their premises. Therefore, all individuals, and companies not having sufficient personnel to have Ideal Forklift Training train at their premises, can be educated by us, at the Kemptville Campus, of the University of Guelph.

Located less than 30 minutes south of Ottawa, Kemptville College Campus provides the classroom setting, forklift, and shop, required for the practical testing (regardless of weather conditions).

Experienced operators attend the one-day course, which covers all the requirements outlined by the Ministry of Labour, CSA B335-04, TSSA, and includes the written and practical testing.

Novice operators attend the two-day course, the only course in Eastern Ontario that offers a full second day of practical tutoring which covers all of the above-mentioned requirements and includes ‘personal’ instruction, tutoring, and practice, before being tested on the forklift. We are the only school and forklfit service in the region that provides this additional day of tutoring, practice and testing, that allows for you to gain the much needed experience on the forklift. When you leave the college, you will have earned the necessary experience, and confidence, to apply for forklift positions!

Attendees of both the one-day and the two-day courses will receive all the required paperwork similar to those provided to the larger companies, allowing the participants to attach photocopies of the said documents to their resumes. The professionalism of the delivered paperwork when attached to applications or resumes, will definitely be noticed by potential employers.

Courses are usually held monthly, on selected Saturdays, with Sunday’s set aside for 2nd day course tutoring. Only the sit-down forklift (battery and propane) is taught.

We do not aim to be the least expensive, and we do not compete with those that are. We aim to teach you properly,

extensively and completely. We will take more time than anyone else to ensure that every aspect of proper forklift operation is fully delivered to you! And we will keep class size to a minimum!
