Refreher training for previously trained (lift truck)
operators is required every three years, following either initial, or refresher training. Although Ideal Forklift Training offers this program, we normally only train individuals who have been trained previously by us. The reason being that our refresher courses are more comprehensive than most others' initial training, and that leaves room for error.
There are only a couple other firms whose training we trust, and if you have been trained by these other organizations, we will take into consideration your previous training. Refresher training, depending on the class of lift truck, shall not exceed 2/3 of a day, possibly less.
Refresher training, as described by the CSA Refresher training,CSA B335-04, 6.21.1, is required every three years, unless someone is involved in an incident, change of equipment, modifications, near misses or equipment damage.
Practical refresher training, as outlined in the CSA B335-04, 6.21.2, referred to as the mid-term evaluation, is required every eighteen months, and if our services are required then, we shall be pleased to visit your facility at that time.
